Setting up Can Lights with no switch wired to lights

Hello,

I am going to be installing can lights and would like to get them installed with no switches physically wired into them. I have 2 KPLs with open buttons that I would like to use to control them.

Would it work if I just used a micro dimmer switch in the ceiling box and capped off the sense wires?

Or is there a better way to do this?

I doubt wiring any light fixture without a switch, or some other air gap device, would pass electrical code and can be dangerous when you have to change a light bulb.

I would make a quick check of code as Larry suggested.  But, I think it is OK.  I base this on the fact that not only does code allow it in my office, they require it.  They require at least one light in each major hallway to be switchless and thus on 24/7 (unless you shut of the breaker).

It's in compliance with the NEC to install a Micro Module or In-linLinc in a ceiling or wall box. The devices are accessible (nothing needs to be damaged to access them).
