Posted March 26, 20169 yr Hi all, I have a Qolsys IQ Alarm.com enabled alarm system. Can I integrate this into ISY or ISY into the IQ panel? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!
March 27, 20169 yr Hi mfranzel, We've never used the QoISys, but if it uses a Z-Wave network, you should be able to add ISY to that network and control the Z-Wave devices in the network.
August 28, 20169 yr I think the questions is.. How do you make the QolSys panel a secondary Zwave controller to the ISY? It's easy to make the ISY secondary to the Qolsys panel, but then you loose adding zwave devices functionality of ISY. Edited August 28, 20169 yr by wxmike
September 12, 20169 yr I know this is an old thread but I have this panel and would love to integrate with the isy
September 13, 20169 yr You should just be able to add it as just another Z-Wave device ,,, you would put the Qolsys in learn mode, and then from ISY use Add/Include a Z-Wave device. If the ISY is the primary controller then after the device is added, the Qolsys will be a secondary controller in the Z-Wave network.
October 4, 20169 yr On the IQ Panel: Settings: Log in with Installer Code Select 'Installation' Select 'Home Control Settings' Uncheck 'Primary Controller' (scroll all the way to bottom) Back Out to previous screen Select 'Home Control Devices' Select 'Add/Remove Controller' On ISY: Select Z-Wave Add/Include a Z-Wave Device Pairing should begin. The IQ Panel will show up as an 'Uninitialized Device', and depending on how many Z-Wave devices you have, the IQ Panel will slowly add them one-by-one. This is a PITA because the name scheme from ISY will not be transferred over. So you will have to manually find out which device goes to which and rename. Also, I'm not sure I like this setup because ISY doesn't seem to have decent Status Polling. I often find that Door Locks and Garage Door's are open when they show up as closed. I wonder if things would be better if ISY was secondary and IQ was Primary. But I'm afraid it'll screw up every ISY program I've created with Z-Wave devices. Edited October 4, 20169 yr by BR1060
