I am setting up my new ISY994i ZW.  I have 2 Trane XR524 thermostats that were on a previous Z-Wave network (Revolv).  When I go into the z-wave setting on the thermostat the only option is "Exclude from Net"  Yes or No.  Selecting yes always ends up in "failed".  Restoring defaults on the thermostat has not excluded it from the network.  I can not find anything on the revolv app about excluding devices.  

 

I was wondering if there was a way to exclude and then include a z-wave device just using the ISY?

 

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I did try that and got the same message "failed".  I have reached out to Trane to see if there is some way to reset the Thermostat.  Thanks for responding!

Did you try moving the ISY close to the thermostat?

I had a lot of issues when I started with zwave on the ISY.

It just doesn't seem to have as strong a radio as some other zwave controllers to me.

Orientation of the ISY to the other devices matters too.

Moving the ISY closer did the trick.  Thank you!
