Changed to tcp,ip port 4998

timeout 500ms

mode C Escaped

set up new program , assigned resource to then (The drop down arrow next to resource it is blank.)

tried to run then but no activity on the IR lights on the tv.

Am I missing something. Is it a ilearn repeat or connector or module setting?

and my test button is grayed out.

When you test the resource in the network module, what response do you get?

I hadn't' hit save i guess outside the resource editor. It works!

Click on the resource in question, the test button should become available.

Is it possible to build the sendir commands manually without the ilearn app? can i look on the internet for discreet codes and modify them or is it different format?

There are sites that post IR codes so you can just copy and paste them. I got all my Onkyo receiver commands that way. Search for 'discrete IR codes' online.

If you find hex values like these, use the GC iConvert app to translate them into usable strings.

At the end of the ir sting it should be \n\r not /n/r. The line feed is not being sent just the string /n/r

Hi,

I've been looking around for instructions on setting up the ISY so I can send commands to the Global Cache iTach WF2IR unit I just purchased.

I want to send a Power On/Off (Piwer Toggle command) to my Air Conditioner.

I believe I have the codes leaned via iLearn that comes with the iYTach. Plus I think I also have the CCF codes that I downloaded. I have another device that works talking to the iTach.

I just am looking for instructions on how to get the ISY to talk to the iTach.

Can you point me to the place wherer you got your instructions.

I am assuming I need the Network Module installed to make this work?

Or is having the ISY Helper good enough to use as well?

Thank you!

Rob
