ISY 994I Stopped Working - Advice Needed

Greetings,

A few weeks ago, my ISY 994I with ZWave board stopped working.  The ISY LED’s showed power, but that was it.  I was able to access My Lighting from a web browser but was unable to launch the Admin Console.  Java was up to date.  My Lighting showed all of my devices/scenes but did not show status and I was unable to turn on/off any device.  When trying to access my programs, I got the message, “error, Loading: /programs/“

Several days after it stopped working, it came back to life and worked without issue until about a week later when it stopped working again with the same observations as listed before.

I’ve cycled the power, and re-seated the SD card without any change.

Help under My Lighting shows:

Model: ISY 994i 256

Platform: ISY-C-994

Version: 4.4.6

Build Timestamp: 2016-03-24-09:26:29

Any suggestions?  it has been running without issue for 1-2 years.

The 2413S PLM has a long history of dying shortly after 2 years old.

You may want to look at the LED on the PLM and see if it is On.

Running for a few days after a power cycle on the PLM is an indication it is going bad.

In the tools tab, diagnostics, PLM Info/Status see if it shows connected or in safe mode.

You may also want to look at the PLM Link table. If almost empty another indication the PLM is on it way out.

Long thread but you may get additional information on determining if the PLM is the problem.

Thanks Brian. I think that will be it. The PLM doesn't seem to be working at all. I will swap it out. Thank you again.

Just out of curiosity, why wouldn't I be able to launch the admin console or access programs if the PLM is dead?

I don't know why the admin console will not launch. I believe the accessing programs is locked out in the safe mode. So changes you made didn't get into the PLM's Link Database.

When you change the PLM. Make sure you follow the procedure. So the replacement PLM's ID is found.
