Yale "real living" Door Lock works once, never again

So, I added the Z-Wave Dongle to my ISY994i without difficulty and added my first device, the above subject door lock, easily. It is located line-of-sight with the base and dongle, 30 feet max separation, but after numerous removals and reinstallations, always the same result. 

 

All you old hands, any suggestions?

The biggest suggestion is to get more devices that are known to enhance security enabled battery devices. You must have 2 or 3 non-battery devices to establish a zwave mesh. I suggest a couple of 'Aeon Sirens' as many have had great success with this device.
