Posted November 2, 20168 yr I've been reading around about the Minimote, it got good reviews, so I got it... not having read the forums first I see what seems like a mixed bag of success, and can't quite tell if it'll work without going to 5.x beta. Also - I tried adding the device to the ISY, and it seemed to work (got a message that counted 1, 2, 3, 4...) but I can't find it. Any help appreciated. thx Andrew
November 3, 20168 yr Hi Andrew, The minimote is not supported in 4.5.x but will be fully supported in the 5.0.x branch. It uses configuration parameters instead of the standard Z-Wave command classes so it requires us to do some custom coding for it.

November 14, 20168 yr Author Ok... in the mean time - are there any wireless, wall-mounted switches or remotes that are fully compatible? thanks Andrew
November 15, 20168 yr Author Looks like from some other posts that z-wave remotes will not work. Will Insteon remotes/wireless switches work?
November 16, 20168 yr Author Great, thanks. Hi Andrew,Yes, all INSTEON remotes work with ISY.With kind regards,Michel
November 28, 20177 yr I also have a mini-mote - and am on the latest 4.5 branch of ISY firmware. Am I able to use the minimote at all with 4.5.x? Specifically, I'd like to use the minimote to help secure add schlage zwave doors. Is this possible? Also, is there any documentation on how to setup the minimote as a secondary controller if it is possible? Thanks. nwchicago
