Goose66
HELP! Just moved to a new house, plugged in my 2413S PLM, connected it to my ISY 994i through the same CAT 5e cable (I think) that it was connected through at the other house, and got no lights. At my old house, the ISY 994i had an external power supply that was connected to a UPS, but my understanding is that the PLM should provide power, right? Is there a special cable to allow it to power the ISY 994i or should any CAT 5e cable work? Quote Link to comment
G W
No. It was the 2412 that supplied power. I'm Gary Funk. Pay no attention to this message. Quote Link to comment

Goose66
Well, that certainly explains it. Back to the box o' crap from the basement... Thanks! Quote Link to comment

Teken
In case you the OEM power supply can't be found any DC transformer that outputs from 5 ~ 30 VDC is fine. Quote Link to comment

Please post example photos of soldering the wires to the microUSB connector. Edited December 2, 2016 by larryllix Quote Link to comment
Brian H
microUSB connector? The ISY994i uses a standard coaxial type DC connector. Quote Link to comment
larryllix
microUSB connector? The ISY994i uses a standard coaxial type DC connector. You must have a really old ISY model then.... Just kidding. Apologies. I was confused with Rpi. I plugged my ISY in about three years ago and have only seen it a few times, since. Yes the ISY uses a small barrel / coax connector of some sort. I didn't want to interrupt it to look. Edited December 2, 2016 by larryllix Quote Link to comment

stusviews
There are lots of power supplies with the correct connection, the most common being a 12VDC camera power supply. Quote Link to comment
