MrWorf Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 I'm seeing some odd behaviors where a scene, for example, kitchen with ~5 devices and a total of 12 members (due dual 8 keypad for easy control) isn't propagating but also not generating an error in the Admin panel. For example, I have a movie mode which, among things, turns off the kitchen scene. When this happens, quite often one of the controllers in a separate room isn't updating. It still shows the scene as ON when it clearly isn't. But I'm not seeing the typical "can't communicate with device X". What could cause this?
G W Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 It can be a noise issue or a bad link. Try doing a restore device on the KPL. I'm Gary Funk and I approved this message.
MrWorf Posted December 10, 2016 Author Posted December 10, 2016 Done it several times. Seems like it's more likely to happen if there is a lot of insteon traffic on my network. I thought it would confirm reception of command?
LeeG Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 MrWorf A Scene initiated by a Program (PLM) is not ACKed by device so there is no retry. This can result in a device being being out of sync if network issues.
