G W Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 Either you need to tap into the receiver or add an Elk transmitter to the Mule transmitter. Both are doable but it's highly likely it will require advanced electronic knowledge. I'm Gary Funk and I wrote this message.
stusviews Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 "Either" is mentioned, but there's no "or."
lurlette Posted December 20, 2016 Author Posted December 20, 2016 Thanks stusviews for all the help and Gary Funk, that did not get me any closer to a solution, because I knew that before I post the question,i need a how to guide or something to try.

G W Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 If you can provide a schematic of the hardware I can help you. I suspect you could use the output of the Visitor LED to trigger an Elk-924 relay. Or even replace the Visitor LED with in opto-isolator and build a circuit to connect to an Elk zone. I'm Gary Funk and I wrote this message.

I'm somewhat familiar with GTO (Gates That Open) gear. They don't publish schematics except for installation. So, you're correct. a knowledge of electronics is needed to modify the driveway alarm.
