Follow Up on Dome Siren/Chime DMS01

UPDATE on the Dome DMS01 Siren/Chime. Moved from another post.

 

This unit has a lot of potential. It has 10 different sounds to choose from for siren and 10 different sounds to choose from for the chime. It has parameters for 3 levels of volume for both siren and chime. It has parameters to set the on time duration for both siren and chime. There is a parameter that allows you to switch between a chime output or a siren output just by changing this parameter from a 1 to a 2 and vice versa.

 

So you can change your chime to one sound (say a doorbell sound) and the siren to another sound (for back door sensor) and run a script that when the back door opens the siren goes off and if the doorbell button is pushed the chime sounds! Not bad!

I noticed that Smarthome is selling this, and very interested.  I would assume in 4.5.4 it doesn't have full support, but will it be in the new 5.X.X build?

Hi AnthemAVM,

 

ISY should be able to support the basic command classes for these devices (they seem to be pretty simple).

release 5.0.14... I can include the Dome siren/chime DMS01 but it only sounds siren high value. I cannot change the configuration parameters. I like to use it as a door bell chime. Has anyone been able to change the configuration settings without using the Smart Things Hub?

I didn't see in the notes anything specific to the Dome. Is it just the instruction on how to set it.  Were you able to get the strobe to work.  I would like to have strobes go off if the garage door is left open.

I did not know how to change the Zwave device parameters. Jimbo's note was helpful in preventing the device going to sleep before uploading the new settings. Enable/Disable Primary Notification Strobe: parameter 08 value 00 (LED Ring Will Not Flash) parameter 08 value  02 (LED Ring Will Flash) parameter 08 Default value 01 (LED Ring Will Flash). Enable/Disable Secondary Notification Strobe: parameter 09 value 00 (LED Ring Will Not Flash) parameter 09 value 02 (LED Ring Will Flash) parameter 09Default value 00 (LED Ring Will Flash)
