nathagt Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 This morning my ISY portal went offline around 4:01AM. I have rebooted the ISY and it is still offline. I have internet access and I'm able to log in and control devices just fine through the admin console. None of my alexa integrations are working as a result. How do I get it back up? Can't seem to find any solutions in the forum. Quote

Can't seem to find any solutions in the forum. 1. Are you seeing this off line in the Admin Console? 2. Does the ISY appear as a device in the ISY Portal? 3. Have you unplugged the Echo and waited 10 seconds and reapplied power to the unit? Once done have you rebooted the ISY Series Controller? Quote
nathagt Posted January 2, 2017 Author Posted January 2, 2017 1. Both - admin console > portal says offline with the red flag. https://my.isy.io says offline since this morning at 4AM. 2. Yes, it is there but offline 3. Yes, I have rebooted from admin console as well as unplugging and restarting. I have also rebooted the echo. Quote
Teken Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 I would suggest you submit a technical support request using this link: http://www.universal-devices.com/contact-support/ Please ensure you reference this forum post so the support staff can mark this off once completed. If you could circle back with the forum members as to root cause and end solve once complete that would be appreciated. As an aside the portal is up and running for my controller and the Echo continues to operate just fine. I only mention this part to let you know the portal is in fact on line and operating. Quote
splash1212 Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 I found the same thing this morning. I've tried everything, and sent a customer support email, but still nothing. Quote

Michel Kohanim Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 Hello everyone, All systems are healthy ... the issue might be DNS related. Please check your error log. With kind regards, Michel Quote
MNTheatreGuy Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 I am having the same issue.. Error logs show "[Task=22] Failed DNS " Any Ideas ? Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Hi MNTheatreGuy, Most of these issues are related to having a static IP configuration for ISY. You can also review the instructions here: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#DNS_Error With kind regards, Michel Quote
MNTheatreGuy Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Thanks for the quick reply. I am at a loss I am using using DHCP with a DHCP reservation Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Hi MNTheatreGuy, If you have any port forwarding rules in the router that points to ISY, remove them. If you see File | Disable Internet Access visible, click on it. If all else fails, please reboot your router. With kind regards, Michel Quote
MNTheatreGuy Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Thank you Michel Kohanin Rebooted Router, which in turn rebooted ISY.. all is running again.. Not sure why that occurred but all is well now. Now that I have resolved my insteon power line noise issues and have the Echo connected I am quickly remembering why I love this product and have recommend it to others. thanks again. Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Hi MNTheatreGuy, My pleasure. This said, why did rebooting the routet reboot ISY? With kind regards, Michel Quote
MNTheatreGuy Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 oh sorry.. was in a hurry in my response. I have the ISY powered via USB port on Router. When I bounced the router, I did so via a hard bounce and thus the USB port was no longer powered. Quote
MWareman Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 (edited) I have the ISY powered via USB port on Router. When I bounced the router, I did so via a hard bounce and thus the USB port was no longer powered.Possibly shouldn't do that. The ISY may come up before the router is ready to serve, causing issues.
