Looks like a good sale.

I ordered two on Christmas Day, with a discount code and free shipping for >$199.00 order.

Not as good as 43% but I did get a break.

I have lost confidence in Smarthome ability to ship promptly.

Holiday schedule indicated 12/27/16 would be the shipping date for orders during the Christmas closure.

All items where in stock the whole week. They didn't even get to the order until 01/05/17 and by that time the Siren Modules where back ordered. They shipped on 01/06/17.

Yeah, I read about this problem impacting a few other people here. I can't make any excuses for them but do have to be fair during the X-MAS season you really do see how busy it is. I can only imagine how many parcels USPS, FedEx, UPS, Purolator, Canada Post, etc handle during that period.

But than again you also see how tight a ship is run vs others . . .

One only needs to see how the majority of times Amazon is able to ship products on time even on week ends. Its fair to say the disparity between the two companies are huge. Because the Amazon fulfillment machine is quite impressive if you have ever seen the documentary.

Regardless, I've dealt with smaller companies that offered great service vs not so much.

It really comes down to (IF) such poor service continues to be when ever there is a sale. If so, that just speaks to a break down in the companies process, inventory management, and just in time shipping calculations.

Hope very much you did enjoy the toys when they arrived anyways!

I order several items durng their Labour day sale and they didn't ship them until about 2-3 weeks later.

Then SH shipped them the slowest method possible, which turns out to be the best to avoid Taxes and brokerage fees from the courier companies.

Since any defects are basically at your own risk for Canadian orders, with a Quality Assurance only operation, I won't ever be ordering from them again.

In the end for Canadians, aartech.ca prices, shiiping, and guarantees, beat SH every time, despite any discounts they (SH) may offer and with online troubleshooting assistance, and return product, if any problems arrise, complete RMA shipping provisions and trust.

This TriggerLinc is handy not only as an open-close sensor, but (when wired using the "Aux. Sensor Input") to react to other sensors or contact closures.
