sumguy Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 I am trying to create a program based on the temperature status of my Aeotec multi sensor 6. When I go to create a program, I only have a yes/no option where I should be able to select a temperature. There is an arrow pointing to the right just before the dropdown for where the temperature should be. When I select the arrow, it switches from yes/no option to one of my state variables. There are no other options. I am on 5.0.4 The status of the sensors appear just fine when I select the multi sensor under devices. Not sure if I am missing something simple or if others are having this issue. Thanks in advance for any assistance. Jason
andyf0 Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Well, for now, until 5.X is more stable you could put the temperature you're looking for into a variable.
sumguy Posted March 21, 2017 Author Posted March 21, 2017 Thanks for the reply. I am not too familiar with variables. I only have set up geofence state variables. Can you provide me with a little more information on how I could set up the variable? What I want to do is set up a program that turns off a fan that is plugged into an Insteon SwitchLinc when the room hits a certain temperature and turn back on if it goes above it. I wanted to do a simple program - If status of master multi sensor temperature is less than or equal to 70 degrees, then set master switch off, else set master switch on. I have no idea how to set that with a variable. Wouldn't I need a program to update the variable state if a certain temperature is reached? Then I am back at the same issue. The program won't give me the option to set the temperature. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jason
