Variables not updating on first refresh

Noticing that the variables are not updating after the first refresh. Thinking it was a computing/processing timing constraint, I waited 15 seconds before clicking the cloud again. Then it updated all the variables (6 of them)

Any chance of providing a visual indication that the GUI is still updating. The cloud icon stops moving and then there is a delay before all the variables are updated.
