andrew77 Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 I have a hutch that has a few lights in it. You touch a hinge on one of the doors and the lights go on (touch once, dim, touch twice, brighter, touch a third time, full bright). I tried to hook it up with a lamplinc but it doesn't work. Has anyone ever tried this? Is there a work around? I'd love to add it to a few scenes. Drew
Sub-Routine Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 I have read reports that the most recent LampLincs send commands when controlled locally, though I have no experience of that. Rand
David D Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 You will most likely have bypass/remove the touch control. It may be simply a matter of unplugging the lights from the touch control box and plugging them into the Lamplinc.
andrew77 Posted February 28, 2009 Author Posted February 28, 2009 Done and done. Thanks David. I just opened up the touch control box on the back, cut it out, spliced the wires, solder, shrinkwrap, put back in the box without the controller and good to go. I was making life more difficult for myself as usual. Drew
David D Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 I too am guilty of "over-thinking" things (engineer's disease). Glad to be of assistance!
