KSchex Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Can anyone recommend a thermostat that is totaly compatible with the ISY994? It needs to be gas compatable, w/ 1 stage heat and 2 stage cool. Thanks..
dbuss Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 I have a 2-gig CT 100 and an RCS Z-Wave Communicating Thermostat (001-01773). They have both worked fine for me.
rg65 Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 I have 3 of these in my home: Honeywell YTH8320ZW1007/U Z-Wave Enabled Programmable Thermostat.
KSchex Posted August 22, 2017 Author Posted August 22, 2017 Thanks all for the recomendations. There are so many Z-Wave devices, with some not being 100% compatible. I would like to go with easy and seemless this time....
stusviews Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 My experience is that no Z-wave installation is seamless. But, most bumps are usually easy to get past.

KeviNH Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 I have 3 of these in my home: Honeywell YTH8320ZW1007/U Z-Wave Enabled Programmable Thermostat. Same here -- happy with the Honeywell TH8320ZW1000 (aka YTH8320ZW1007). Some people don't like the touchscreen and limited ability to control the backlight.

Just started about a month ago. Reseating the Zwave card fixes it, but it is annoying.
gduprey Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 I've also periodically "lost" connection with the Honeywell. It's pretty rare, but it has happened at least once on each of the 8 I have installed. Usually a reconnect and you're fine (i.e. you don't have to repair or exclude/include it). It's too bad because the Honeywell is a very good ZWave tstat otherwise and it's one of the only ones I've found that consistently (or at all) sends updates when it turns on heat or cool (most dont, though you can poll them). If you want to write any logic or have app-level updated when actually heating and cooling, thats pretty important. Specifically, the CT100 does not send status when starting/ending a heating/cooling cycle.
