I/O Linc Timer

I am using an I/O Linc for my sauna controller. Since I'm new to ISY I'm wondering if I need to create a program to run the I/O Linc for 30 minutes or will the device options screen accomplish this?

Either is fine and comes down to use case and the amount of flexibility you seek. Assuming you never had a controller like the ISY Series Controller the I/O Linc can be locally programmed to have s 2 seconds to 30 minutes of momentary hold. If you programmed the I/O Linc to hold for 30 minutes and linked it to a switch, remote, etc it would activate for that duration and than turn off.

Using the ISY Series Controller offers more flexibility and conditional logic though . . .

Ok Thank you Teken . I'll use the ISY for this purpose for sure since I need up to 90 minutes of heat.

I would probably also create a few other counting and safety programs to ensure the sauna is turned off if and when expected. As the I/O Linc is one of the few last remaining single band power line devices being sold so a strong and clean Insteon network is paramount.

Ensure you complete a few on-off cycles to validate everything operates as expected. Also create a custom email to alert yourself the I/O Linc has been turned on / off. You don't want to receive a $2K utility bill at the end of the month! ☹️
