NodeLink Install Trouble

I am trying to install NodeLink on my Raspberry Pi and am not getting too far.  I also tried just on my computer and got the same error.  I have tried updating ISY to everything from 5.0.2 up to 5.0.10 and the best I can get without an error is 5.0.2.  Here is what I get.  Can anyone help me past this please.

In the system config tab you need to enter your ISY user name, password and the ISY IP address. Your ISY IP address needs to be locked down in your router DHCP IP address reservation table so that when your ISY asks for an IP address and always gets the same one.

 

Your ISY and NodeLink RPi seem to be on different IP address subnets.

Do other devices use the same subnet 198.105.244? 

Are you attempting to pass through a router converting your addresses between subnets?

 

If you are attempting to access NodeLink from outside your LAN system you will need to create a port forward in your router to allow the outside traffic to pass through to your LAN, and probably use https:

Thank you very much for  your quick response.  I am not sure why it is giving that weird 198.xxx ip address that is not part of my network.  Also as for the user name and password on the system config tab, what system is that in?  ISY, Raspberry PI, or NodeLink?  If NodeLink, I can't even get it to start to be able to do anything in it.

The user name and password in the config tab is to give nodelink permission/access to your ISY to interact with nodes. The ISY does not allow un-authenticated access.

 

Possibly something happened to your config.xml.... it's the "memory" of your individual nodelink configuration. Nodelink always uses my current config.xml when it updates. Did you move directories for this instance? Can you copy and paste your config.xml here in a post (nodelink encrypts your real password)

Start here... there's a link in there to setup doc on io_guy's word press site. Also, look around at some of the links under the Ecobee subforum that post is in. Some of those posts might help as well.

Thank you for your quick response.  I figured out I was missing the step of entering the NodeLink web address into the web browser.  Now I am trying to figure out how to add my Ecobee thermostat.

The ecobee linking is a little diffrenet to what you may be familiar with...it threw me off for a bit.

 

Nodelink will generate a four digit PIN that you will use to install into the ecobee website. This will allow your NodeLink software to access the information held in the ecobee3 database it already obtained from your stat. The PIN generator initiate is found under the Ecobee tab in NodeLink.

 

Note that the updates via NodeLink via ecobee stats is quite slow. They only allow polls ever few minutes. This may be annoyng at first but after it is running, it is fast enough. During the testing phase (leg) it can be annoying.

I have the Portal Module which if you look at the Network Module description says it's now included with Portal.

Now included with ISY Portal Module (requires Firmware/UI version 4.4.6 or above.
IMPORTANT:For HTTPS, please consult Advanced Security Guide for supported feature sets per model.

NodeLink does not use the portal or Network Module.

Generate a PIN and install it in the Ecobee maintenance page. This tells it who to give access to your data to.

 

Have you installed the NodeLink file into ISY and had NodeLInk install the nodes in ISY yet?
