Puerto Rico ~ Googles Project Loon & ATT

Recommended Posts

Anyone who has been monitoring the ongoing Gong Show in Puerto Rico knows these poor Americans continue to live with out basic essentials from clean water, electricity, food, and medical support. Given how integrated communications are in our lives ~ living with out cellular connectivity and the Internet is very hard for most first world countries.

Having basic communications allows a person to call for 911 medical assistance, directing first responders where food, water, medical, and infrastructure needs to be. This disaster has show cased some of the very best and worst of people and how they either step up to the plate or walk away.

Several weeks ago Apple, ATT, Google, Tesla, and many others have stepped up to the plate.

Of interest is the Google X project which I have been tracking since its inception many years ago. The X company has started deploying massive balloons that fly high up in the stratosphere which allows cellular connectivity. The link provided below offers a quick glimpse as to how it operates.

What isn't clear to me is how it is they are able to make the balloon move?!? As the premise is the balloon simply follows the air currents and I see no way that they could ever control the balloon and its destination? Having been in a few hot air balloons myself the only control from a high level is to either let the balloon go up / down by controlling the amount of heat being generated etc. In the case of the Loon there is no propellant / heat like from a normal riding balloon.

Other limitations is the hardware only operate during sun light hours because its solar powered.

I have to say this is what technology is all about and that is to help mankind in their darkest hours of need. Hats off to the FCC which allowed the Google X team to deploy this experimental device to help the people of PR. I would like to think the American citizens of PR will be in a better place before X-MAS.

Given the slow aszz pace and complete incompetence of the FEMA, Military, and the Federal Government I don't suspect that will be the case.

I highly doubt anyone from PR reads this forum but if they do. Know many of us around the world are thinking of you and doing what we can to support you all. Hang tight and fight the good fight because hope is not lost!!

IIRC those balloons are tethered.

It must be especially helpless on a  island making supplies slower and more expensive to get. I have read multiple previous complaints online, that  the pres. has never paid much attention to them throughout other troubles history.

Larry, Larry, Larry...

As the balloons float by in the stratosphere (launched from Nevada), the team says it's hoping to provide connectivity during daylight hours.

They are not tethered they move back and forth using the wind currents in the stratosphere. What I am curious to find out is what they use to make the balloon move up and down like a regular hot air balloon. If one watches several of the cartoon illustrations it show cases this concept. But no where do they explain the mechanical aspects that makes the base system move up and down.

I would have to gather inside there is a heater or sorts because its near impossible to make the balloon move up & down with out some kind of agitator. In some of the environmental balloons I saw it was a simple weighted system where the body of the main unit would drop counter weights at a defined height. The only problem with that is its a one way path from there and you can't add the weight back once its been released.

If anyone knows the mechanics of how the X company is able to make the balloon move up and down I would love to know!

Incredible technology that has paid off for those in PR.

I doubt the stratosphere was launched from Nevada. The governments attempt to distribute it evenly around the world in jet exhaust streams that you can see dispersing as they fly by. They aren't just for mind control gases anymore.

Both feet in the same day....

Google is your friend.

These work in the same way the old weather balloons did.

Borrow more feet. I guess the jet stream mind control substances are working better in Colorado. :)

Thanks for the links.

Looks like helium or hydrogen gas tanks are used to control altitude. It sounds like they are mostly expendable and you keep just launching more.

They are also recoverable but cheap enough if they are lost, there is a tax advantage and for a multi-billion dollar company it is not so bad an investment.

And yes, a small helium tank that is used after it leaves the ground will keep it afloat for a long time. And it is pretty easy to bring it down in a controlled space.

It is very similar to military weather and surveillance balloons.

Leave it to Larry to take the topic off track to conspiracies of “chemtrails” lol

You know he just does this to mess with you guys right?

Now you have done it, Larry. You spoke out about the government and it heard you.

We are getting  a wall. Not high enough to block those target practice  ballons you keep sending, though.

ohhhh!... it's google.  We always let them in,  if they ad .ca on the end of their name.
