How to make scene controller show status?

Featured Replies

Posted

I have 2 Switchlinc devices (2477S) set up in a scene to control one light. One of the two is wired to the load and is the responder, the other has no load connected and is a controller. If I turn the light on or off from the controller, all is well. But if I turn the light on locally at the responder, the controller switch does not indicate the on/off status of the load.

How can I make the controller show the correct load status regardless of how the load is controlled?

You need to make it a controller.

I need to make what a controller? The responder? How do I do that? I can only set it up as a controller or a responder.

Both devices need to be controllers in your scene. That way if either is turned on the other responds accordingly and keeps its status in place

Info only: an ISY controller cannot be a controller only, it is also a responder. But, a responder is only a responder.
