gogamer Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 I have an 8-button keypad that turns on with a new scene. It can be an empty scene with no devices associated to it but this one keypad's load (A) turns on. Help please! ISY994: 4.6.2 Device in question: 2334-2 KeypadLinc Dimmer v.43 - The A button is a controller/responder to one existing scene with not problems 50 Devices 30 Scenes None of the existing scenes are affecting this KeypadLinc. But any new scene I create will turn it on and off.
paulbates Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 I would factory reset the keypad, 'right click' on the device in the admin console and pick 'restore device'. Test it again. Paul
gogamer Posted December 3, 2017 Author Posted December 3, 2017 No change. Did a factory reset, then restored device. Still turns on with any new scene created.
paulbates Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 That's unusual symptoms. If the factory reset didn't wake it up, something is wrong with it and it should be returned. If you got via amazon usually you can look up the order and click return.. its easy Paul
gogamer Posted December 5, 2017 Author Posted December 5, 2017 Resolved... I added the keypad A button to the new scene, then removed it from the scene. Responds to that scene no more. I've since found that I had another device that was responding to any new scene created. I did the same... added it then removed it and it works correctly now. Odd.
oberkc Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 very odd, indeed. Are you suggesting that you are going to have to go through that process for those two device on any new scene created in the future?
larryllix Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 That suggests that the factory reset didn't take. Sent from my SGH-I257M using Tapatalk
