Jenkins Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 So, if I'm following this correctly, I could I have several Flair vents - with a single puck acting as a gateway - and "pair" each rooms vent with my Aeotec multi-sensors? If so, then ISY/Nodelink would be the trigger that tells the puck/gw to close/open a rooms vent?
io_guy Posted May 6, 2018 Posted May 6, 2018 Initial release is out. I was surprised the number of sensor these things have: Puck - Temp, Humidity, Pressure, Light, Battery Vent - Temp, Pressure, Duct Position (Obviously), Battery This release reads these items and allows setting of vent position.

Is that vent duct air pressure from the central circ. fan? Is that an analogue value or just a switch that detects fan air push?
Scottmichaelj Posted May 17, 2018 Posted May 17, 2018 So anyone got this going yet in two rooms or more? I was thinking about just buying one puck then doing a MS6 but I think my laziness is catching up with me and I rather spend the extra money and just get two pucks. Thoughts? Results? Feedback?
dinostop Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 Has anyone set this up yet in their house? I have a house full of 10 vents and 2 pucks. Might start working with ISY integration today. I didn't realize until today that Nodelink added Flair vents.
io_guy Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 Would be interested to know how things go. My development was with a single vent and single puck. I believe flynjets is using it as well.
kohai Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 I'm looking to add these to a single room but they are out of stock on most sizes right now. Business must be good.
flynjets Posted October 24, 2018 Author Posted October 24, 2018 It’s working well for me. Like io_guy said I’m using a single puck and single vent. I’m only using full open or full close do to Flair saying there is an issue with the sensors on my vent.
Jenkins Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 6 vents and 1 puck for me. Have a weird issue where some support a half-open position and others don’t. Emailed their support and was told they removed the feature...yet only some of my vents are affected. I really need to start using Nodelink to manage these using other room sensors!
io_guy Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 I was told the half open/close thing was an issue with the hardware sensors (as flynjets mentioned). Basically it was unreliable so they disabled the function. I believe this is being resolved in their next hardware revision. Maybe that's why current stock is limited?
Jenkins Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 When I opened the case a few weeks ago, the Rep mentioned it was removed because of battery drain issues. I don’t have any battery or hardware issues thankfully, but it’s quirky that some vents have the option and some don’t. They've mentioned that they ran out of stock previously, and when I asked them why their social media channels haven’t been updated, they said they were laying low until their stock was replenished. I haven’t seen anything posted since late June/early July, so I’m a bit skeptical of their future.
FLAIR Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 The future is still looking bright over here at Flair! Still waiting on a few things with our stock replenish, but we're not going away any time soon.
lip Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 What's the latest in the isy integration? I'd like to poll one of my insteon switches which still inturn raise the temp of one of the rooms to get the hvac on (bathroom to turn furnace on in winter when about to have shower)
io_guy Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 Flair integration works with NodeLink. All sensor variables are fed to the ISY and the ISY can control the duct position.
