How do you remove links?

I have a switch that comes ON unexpectedly. I tracked it down to a link to another switch that has been relocated.

When I go into the GUI and get the Device Links table for the switch that comes on, it shows links to 2 devices I don't want it to be linked to.

Using the "Compare" function shows that the links all match up to the ISY.

I also used the "Restore Device" command on the switch and nothing changed.

So, how can I remove the links for these 2 other devices?

One device is no longer on the network, and the other one is.

Also, for the device that is still on the network, there is NO scene in the ISY that shows it linked.

Thanks.

If the removed device is still in the ISY right click it and select Remove.

Create a Scene with the two devices in it and then remove them.

It's not.

Create a Scene with the two devices in it and then remove them.

I don't understand why I would need to do that. If the ISY's link table matches up to the device, then why doesn't it represent those links in the GUI?

Hello KEoqgtkQ,

If you added the device to the ISY using option 3, keep existing links, then the tables will match although the links are broken.

I'm afraid the only way to then remove the links is to remove the device from ISY, factory reset it, and add it back to ISY. Please use option 1, remove existing links.

Creating a topography (Tools menu) before removing the switch will allow you to view a record of the scenes it was in. That should make it easier to add the switch back to the way you had it.

Hello KEoqgtkQ,

This is indeed odd but it's not something that we have not seen before. May I humbly ask:

1. How large is your installation

2. What version of firmware is your PLM

With kind regards,

Michel

Ok, I've done as you said and I suppose it worked.

However, I've meticulously gone through the PLM links table and it has a few links to devices that are no longer on my network.

Now what?
