Java Icon Appears on Startup and Admin Console Does Not Appear as the App Running

Today, when I double-clicked on the Admin Console icon on the desktop a Java message appeared in the center of the screen. A couple of minutes late the device tree and programs appeared but instead of Admin Console the app running was identified as Java. Something is clearly wrong but before I race off blindly seeking a solution I considered it best to consult with the forum and get expert advice.

I believe that there's a Java check box to stop that from occurring when you first start the Administrative Console. It ask if this is a private or public computer. I hope this simple solution works B)

I tinkered a bit w/o success. I am anxious to avoid doing more since everything is working except the app doesn't identify itself as the admin console but as Java Web Start. I will wait to see if someone has encountered and successfully resolved the matter. Otherwise, I will submit a ticket. I have received notice that a Java update is available, but I am going to avoid doing that until I know what is going on.

I don't know whether you will see this or not but this is info. you should know. You may recall spending a great deal of time with me trying to resolve why the programs did not appear in the device tree of an ISY located remotely from my location. You finally got it to work using the portal. Yesterday, accessing my local ISY w/o the portal resulted in the Java app appearing in the middle of my computer screen and the Admin Console did not appear as the app being run. Instead the app was Java Web Start. Aside from that things appeared normal. I sought help at the forum just in case someone had the same problem. Apparently no one had so I dowloaded a recent pending Java update, cleared the cache and downloaded the Admin Console. That resolved the display issues. I then directly accessed the remote ISY without the portal and checked the program tree. All of my programs appeared! Apparently, there was a problem with Java that caused the program tree to not display properly. I hope you see this because someone else may encounter the same problem.
