James Peterson Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 I have been working on this for quite a while now and I feel that I am close enough to let the cat out of the bag. I apologize if I may have been missing from the forums for a bit, but have been very busy. The iOS is almost feature parity with the Android version minus a few things that I will need external access with the help of a few volunteers(ELK specifically) I will be opening up a beta trial soon and will be looking for volunteers to test(Preferably users that use both Android and iOS, but will accept others as well). I have included a few screenshots.
bobchap Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Been hoping for this for a long time. My wife is a non-techie iPhone girl. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Bumbershoot Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Looks nice. I'll look forward to your beta announcement.
PurdueGuy Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 I'm iOS only, but I'd be glad to help beta test! Running 5.0.12 right now, with a DSC alarm (via NodeLink).
pilotgeek Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 I use Android, but my wife uses iPhone. She is jealous, and therefore we are in. Regards, Neal PS: Still want sliding on the home page -- especially since I see you implemented it in parts of the application.
Toddimus Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 We are an iOS family but I'd love to try the beta!
rccoleman Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 iOS only, but I do have an Elk security system. Looking forward to it!
shovelhead Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 My first UD forum post, because I like Agave that much....I just migrated all my personal devices to android about 5 weeks ago and just moved from HUB to ISY 2 weeks ago. I have been using the insteon app on IOS for nearly 2 years. It with usable, but disappointing. As my number of devices got larger, insteon hub became more cumbersome. I got my android phone and it was worse. I decided to try some other options. I landed on Agave and was highly impressed. In 3 days of tinkering with Agave I had a new appreciation for my equipment. My android is now the best controller I have. But a problem.... I have iPads as wall panels. My wife and son have iPhones... I checked the App Store and no Agave!..... I want to purchase Agave. I like it and believe you are on a great path with it. It deserves funding. I will be adding it to my library shortly, but I am actually curious about the pricing/licensing. What are the plans, if any, for cross platform licensing? Family member accounts supported across multiple devices?

The pricing will be 1 to 1 for both Android and iOS once it is available. The family access manager will be cross platform compatible. So, if you purchased it on any platform you will be able to add family members that use both Android and iOS. There will be a small encryption modification to Android upon initial release of iOS to account for the compatibility. For details about the pricing go to www.agaveha.com for details.Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
smokegrub Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 I have used IOS since 1986. This look like something ,y wife would feel comfortable with. I am interested in the beta.
bgrubb1 Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Any chance it supports nodeserver nodes ?? ....Barry
Scottmichaelj Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Any chance it supports nodeserver nodes ?? ....Barry This would be HUGE and a BIG advantage over MobiLinc out the gate.

But we need Chris Jahn to implement some sort of Node_Type that can be specified in the nodedef.xml file and passed via the REST interface (or WS) that indicates when a nodeserver node is a light, or fan, or thermostat, or appliance, or whatever so the front-end UIs know how to deal with them, instead of front-end developers having to build support for each, individual nodeserver developed out there.

This seems about true. I tried with the Android version from the very beginning and it failed miserably. If there can be a standard created that can be setup so that it is easier to detect and display it would be easier. AS it stands, iOS will come out with the same features as the Android version +/- small platform differences. I will eventually try to tackle nodeservers again, but a type and capability standard would help greatly.

Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk I actually did go check out pricing before posting. I just wanted some clarification on how this will fit together for a multi-user, multi-platform household. Thanks for the details and keep up the great work!
asbril Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 I am a IOS user and looked at the Agave features at www.agaveha.com . When ready for IOS then I will definitely take the 30 day free option and go firm if it is as good as it looks.
