SetMonkey13 Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 I am using NodeLink on a Windows computer. The computer has two active network adapters with different addresses (on purpose). Every time my computer restarts and start NodeLink, it always ends up using the wrong adapter. Is it possible to tell it to always use a specific one? Or do I need to keep disabling the one adapter, start NodeLink, and then enable the second adapter again?
io_guy Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 I would have thought it would bind to both adapters. Maybe report the wrong IP in the log, but bind to both. Is this not the case?
SetMonkey13 Posted April 18, 2018 Author Posted April 18, 2018 The server address for the settings goes to the wrong one which makes it hard to access from other computers on the main network. Outside of that, it works.
larryllix Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Anytime I had two Ethernet ports my Windows machines would pick one and I could never change it. My Win 7 machine picks the hard wired Ethernet if anything is connected.
io_guy Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 It will pick the first in your list to display in the log. What I'm asking is if it makes a difference. The code "should" bind to both adapters, meaning you can access it from the address of either adapter.
