knctrnl Posted July 17, 2018 Share Posted July 17, 2018 I have seen threads on here about using zwave Smoke detector to trigger ELK alarm but cant seem to find any other methods. I would rather not tie up a bunch of physical inputs on the elk for virtual uses. (those instructions used input 15) What is the best way to have multiple sensors on ISY (Insteon or zwave) be able trigger events on ELK. Right now my use case is Insteon leak detectors that I would like to trigger alarm. Since I have elk keypads and speakers throughout the house it will be my best option for voice alerts.I would like to to have motion sensors trigger voice alerts in Elk. Scottmichaelj Posted March 22, 2019 Share Posted March 22, 2019 You would need the Elk module for the ISY. Then creat an “output” (with is a virtual trigger) on the Elk side. Import that output to the ISY and creat the program based on that output in the ISY. You then would create an Elk rule as well. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
