Replacing dead PLM for my 994iz - Procedure?

Want to make sure I don't screw this up - my PLM (2413s) was fried by storm - totally dead.

I've had this same PLM for about 10 years I think, been fine until now so I've never had to do this.

Have another on the way, but want to make sure I go about replacing it via the Admin Console the right way, so links to old PLM get wiped, and all those same links are properly written to the new PLM and I have no other issues.

Do I "Restore PLM" first or "Delete PLM" first?

Any guidance would be appreciated!

Thanks!!

I assume nothing has changed regarding this process in the 11 years since this was posted?  That was a concern, given I'm on the beta / 5.0 etc... ISY FW.

Not that I'm aware of, but admittedly, I'm still on my original PLM from 2015 so I've never swapped mine out.  I understand that you might not want to issue a "Delete PLM" command, as you'll get a new PLM with no links at all when you eventually do the "Restore PLM".

NEVER do a delete PLM.

It's also a good ideal to do an ISY backup before you replace the PLM.

Attached is the detailed PLM replacement guidelines.
