burakk Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 I still observer Request failed when accessing IOLinc Options only for Relay.
nstein Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Since updating from 2.7.2 My PHP scripts using PHP's built in soap functions are now returning the following error: [WSDL] SOAP-ERROR: Parsing Schema: unexpected in complexType -Nick
bdlhome Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 My iolinc-sensor (used for garage door) is now showing a status of 1% where before (in V2.7) it was either on or off.
NewTech Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Since downloading version 2.7.3 just a short while ago I noticed that all of my LampLincs are no longer BLUE in color (they are all RED) in the device tree and their symbol is that of the KeypadLinc. The sole In-lineLinc I have is still BLUE and has the light bulb symbol. I sure hope this isn't the new norm because I liked using the colors and symbols to help in selecting devices.
NewTech Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Since downloading version 2.7.3 I am experiencing far too many Request Failed and/or "Cannot Communicate With Device (Device name here). Please check connection" errors. Either I did something wrong when I downloaded the new version or it has some bugs. I'm going back to version 2.7.2.
markens Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Since downloading version 2.7.3 I am experiencing far too many Request Failed and/or "Cannot Communicate With Device (Device name here). Please check connection" errors. I'm getting this message on occasion as well. Once I got my comm issues settled a month or so ago, I did not see this message at all under 2.7.0.

Michel Kohanim Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Hi all, I am going to respond in one post: Burak, I am not sure what you mean. Is this in the Admin Console? Nick, it would be great if you could tell me the element that's causing this problem bdlhome, is this the sensor or the relay? What happens if you turn it on/off? NewTech, the reason they are in red is because we now support sense capabilities for version 3 of LLs. This means that you can put them as controllers in scenes (or programs) and sense whether or not anyone turns on/off the lamp physically. As far as communications errors, please do make sure that Wait while busy reading is checked in the configuration tab. markens, I will do more testing to see what could be causing comm errors. With kind regards, Michel
bdlhome Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Hi all, I am going to respond in one post: bdlhome, is this the sensor or the relay? What happens if you turn it on/off? Michel It is the sensor. If I turn if on/off I get the same results 0ff is Off On = 1% So with the garage door closed I turn relay on and door opens sensor shows off Turn relay off - sensor continues to show off I turn relay on again and door closes sensor is 1% when door is closed Opening and closing the garage door with the original push button I get the same results. regards, Brian
Michel Kohanim Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Hi Brian, will work on it immediately. Do you also have communications issues? We have changed the way we handle communications with INSTEON (for added performance). So, I would be interested to know if anyone else is experiencing comm errors. nstein Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Nick, it would be great if you could tell me the element that's causing this problem Sorry Michel, I wished I could but, PHP doesn't give me any more information, and I am unsure how to get any more. -Nick
Michel Kohanim Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Hi Nick, Do you know if it's when your script is getting the WSDL file or when you are sending a request? Michel Kohanim Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Hi Brian, May I ask what version of IOLinc you have? I just tested mine and it works fine. It might be the Java cache ... the best way to test is to check the status on the HTML page and see whether or not you have the same value. With kind regards, Michel

burakk Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 I still observer Request failed when accessing IOLinc Options only for Relay. Hi Michel, this is in the admin console and but now it is happening for both the relay and the sensor. It appears that I cannot save the time out seconds for example... I checked on two computers to make sure... Burak
Michel Kohanim Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Hi Burak, Thanks. Sensor and Relay options are one and the same (they call the same device) and thus I am confused! Is it possible that this is a Java cache issue? With kind regards, Michel I still observer Request failed when accessing IOLinc Options only for Relay. Hi Michel, this is in the admin console and does not happen in the sensor options but only on the relay options. Burak

Hi Michel, this is in the admin console and does not happen in the sensor options but only on the relay options. Burak Well it is happening on both now. I checked on two separate machines and have the same results. Cache is clear. Could it be a device issue? Burak
smileyw Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Still having the problems with SSL and REST. Hi guys, I am still having that problem with web pages that run over SSL. (Touchswitch in particular is still misbehaving.) W P.S. I too am having the IOlinc problem where it is showing as 1%. It is running firmware v.33. It is only about a week old...
markens Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 It is the sensor. If I turn if on/off I get the same results 0ff is Off On = 1% So with the garage door closed I turn relay on and door opens sensor shows off Turn relay off - sensor continues to show off I turn relay on again and door closes sensor is 1% when door is closed I am also seeing 1%, but the details are different: My iolinc (V1.1, fw v33) is set to Trigger Off (closed sensor = OFF, open sensor = ON). With the sensor closed ("OFF") and the relay off, a query shows relay OFF and sensor at 1%. Turning relay on/off via ISY has no effect on sensor status in ISY. Opening door sends ON command as expected, status in ISY is ON. Cycling relay again has no effect on sensor status. Closing door sends OFF command as expected, ISY status is OFF. Again, cycling relay has no effect on sensor status. I don't see 1% again until after another query. I started a new thread with some other comments and questions about 2.7.3: http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?t=2685 --Mark
nstein Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 When specifying the WSDL file: $client = new SoapClient ("http://192.168.0.239/services.wsdl", array('login' => "admin", 'password' => "admin", 'trace' => 1)); Thanks, Nick Hi Nick, Do you know if it's when your script is getting the WSDL file or when you are sending a request? With kind regards, Michel
Michel Kohanim Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Hi all, another collective response! Mark, would you be kind enough to let me know what options you have set in the Admin Console for your IOLinc? Actually, it would be even better if you could open the event viewer (Tools | Diagnostics | Event Viewer) and change the level to 3. Then, please activate/deactivate/query your sensor and send me the captured logs (support@universal-devices.com). Burak, I suspect it's a device issue unless others have the same problem. Nick, thanks so very much. I'll checkout the WSDL (we added some new services which might be causing this issue). With kind regards, Michel
BillTanner Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 It's not a major issue, but, for your info, the Weatherbug display still has problems in version 2.7.3. The rainfall parameters that are show in "inches" now display properly, but the pressure readings that the RSS feed sends in inches still display as "mbar". For reference, the RSS feed that I'm using is "DACSC".
