DNS error when trying to send messages

Hi there,

I have two ISYs at two different locations and use 2 portal accounts to log into each remotely. Up until a few days ago, I was happily getting emails when programs were running as expected. House 1 portal login is @yahoo.com and I have no issues. It sends emails on program runs to a @yahoo.com email address. House 2 portal login is @gmail.com and sends emails to that same @yahoo.com address and that's where I'm having issues.

When I look at the error log file, it just says this: Fri 2018/12/21 08:20:06 PM System -50010 mail.universal-devices.com

Looking through the codes it looks like that 50010 is MAIL SERVER DNS ERROR

But I don't know what to do about it. In both ISYs I hve the SMTP settings set to "use default" but not sure what the default really is. Is it based on yahoo for one for gmail for the other because of the logins? I checked spam and nothing is there but clearly yahoo is getting the emails from house 1, but not house 2.

If need be, I can always use the SMTP settings of my cable ISP if for some reason gmail changed something recently. But I'm not sure why that would matter since if I was on the network with the ISY, I wouldn't be using my gmail address to log in, I'd just use the admin ID and password.

thanks!

Well apparently even tho the only reason I log on with gmail.com is when I'm accessing through the portal, it looks like by going into my google settings and allowing less secure app access, it's sending emails again. No idea why this just changed but it solved it for now. Still don't get why that matters since I just as easily NOT log into the ISY with my gmail but it solved it for the short term.
