ryarber Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 I am going to put a lightning arrestor/surge supressor on my breaker panels. I have GE panels and I am going to use the snap in modules into the panels. It takes one per panel. My question is how this will affect my insteon network? My supplier is having trouble finding a meter base supressor that is rated for 600 amps which is what I have at my house (3 200 amp panels). I have 4 signal links so I should have no trouble jumping the signal from panel to panel. Has anyone here used these surge supressors?
ryarber Posted May 20, 2009 Author Posted May 20, 2009 I guess I'll be the first to try it here. I'll report my results.
dougos2 Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I actually use a Leviton whole house surge protector on each of my 200 amp panels. This meant having to purchase two of them, but it has been working great for years and I have bad lightning issues.
