ToddR Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 Is there a way to get notification if a system error has occurred ? or is the only way to check the log files often ? Thanks Todd

Thanks Todd It's possible to get an email notification if your ISY reboots via a program. Checking your error log or observing the leds on the front of the ISY would be your only other options

Thanks Todd Write notifcation with the message inside or you can send a generic notification usingthe program name. Write a program to send you the notification. Go to the program summary tab and enable "Run at startup" for tthat program in the table
ToddR Posted January 24, 2019 Author Posted January 24, 2019 I was looking for when there is an error like a program was supposed to turn on a light and for whatever reason it doesn’t and it shows as an error in the log file.
mwester Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 Yeah, there's no good support for that. We've asked for the ISY to have the option to send the error log information via the standard syslog mechanism, which would allow an external device/system to get the log info and report/notify on it.
