How to determine connection type-Mobilinc/Portal/Other

Hi,

For whatever reason, using the Mobilinc app,  I was not able to connect from outside my wifi.  Once I got home, I could connect to the isy using Mobilinc.  I went to lighting controller info in settings in the Mobilinc app and it was set to ISY.  I think I used to use Mobilinc connect and switched it to ISY Portal?  I can't remember and now I don't know hot to resolve this.  I just want to be able to use the Mobilinc app outside my house and with my apple watch.  Not sure what to do.  Thanks.

to be more clear, I've purchased one of those options but wasn't sure which one.  I'm pretty sure it was ISY portal.  I'm not sure why it stopped working but it's not clear in the monilinc app how to connect/login.  I can see the mobilinc option to login, but don't see how to login/connect to isy portal.

Remember that ISY Portal  subscription needs to be renewed after 2 years.

You can figure out which ones are active by going to the "Help" tab in the admin console and selecting "Purchase Modules". This will show installed and active modules.

My ISY Portal shows an expiration date of November 29, 2018 though I am pretty sure that I renewed the subscription a few days before that date,,,, and it continues to work anyway.

I believe that they had an issue with the expiration where it didn't really happen on the 2-year mark and it hit lots of folks at once and unexpectedly.  You may want to check with @bmercier to make sure that it doesn't just drop.  Here's a thread from last year.

When I login to the admin panel and go to help and purchases, i can see that the isy portal subscription expired in Nov of 2018 but the status shows "active".  I do not see an option to add a renewal to cart in that screen.  In addition to this issue, Mobilinc HD is no longer working with my ISY when I am in the house on wifi.  If I tap the sync option in the Mobilinc App, I just get the syncing with isy retrieving configuration message and nothing else happens.  I have to kill the app to get out of that screen, if I let it just run, I get a network error.

 

Here are my specific questions:

1. In Mobilinc App, what should my host type be set to to work with with the isy portal? My options are, Mobilinc Connect, ISY series, Smartlinc 2412N, Powerlinc 2414.

2. How do I renew the isy portal connection?
