How do I migrate Ring doorbell and other Ring devices?

I am a computer and network technician.  I know very little about Ring doorbells, etc..  We have a customer who has a Ring doorbell in front of their business and a Ring motion detector/camera at the back.  To skip to the important part, when we added a new network section in back to pick up the motion detector, we were frustrated by the former employee who used her personal email (she thinks) and doesn't know what email or password was used to set up the doorbell.  So, it is time to move the whole thing to a new email address associated with the business.

I'm assuming we just have to reset all devices to factory (they now purchased a chime for the office area.)  Before I screw up their front door, I thought I should check to see if there are any gotchas associated with this (like can I move the devices from another account without getting into that account and releasing them?).  I tried looking through Ring forums and found nothing and when I called their number, they insisted that I be in the presence of the devices before I could get help.  I'd just like to know what to plan on before we show up.

Anyone know about this?  Any help would be appreciated!

I don’t know but did you ask at IPcamtalk forum? They might know.

I avoided the Ring for privacy concerns but was intrigued by the concept. Just bought and tested today a Uniden U-Bell that is a Hikvision OEM and I can record locally with an ONVIF stream for free. Now $40 at Brandsmart.

You can easily reset the Ring devices - but you do need to be local to them (and in the case of the doorbell need the somewhat special screwdriver to take the security screw out to reach the reset button). Then, you simp,y set the device up as new in a new account.

You will have to pay again for the cloud plan if you were using that before though.. as that’s associated to the account.
