Pabtastic Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 i recently had some issues upgrading to 5.0.13D (devices going in and out) so i wiped out my isy and plm and reprogrammed the system from scratch. When i say wiped out i mean factory defaulted both. All has been fine except i have now noticed that any program that requires a trigger does not function. If the trigger is a schedule event (ie sunrise) - the program runs fine. But any program that is triggered by an action (other then schedule) does not work. I backtracked all the way to as simple as if a switch is turned on to turn on a module and nada. I did as much troubleshooting as i could think of but the issue is that my events are not triggering the program (meaning if i go into the program and select "run then" it does what it should. Any known issues with the version i am using? i wouldn't say i am a pro at this but these are real basic programs i should be able to write with my eyes closed and they worked perfects in 4.7.6 (ish) dont remember the version 100% perfect. I actually have another isy at another location (still running older version) and the same (ish) programs are running fine. Any ideas?
palayman Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 Did you factory reset all the insteon switches and sensors as well?
Pabtastic Posted March 11, 2019 Author Posted March 11, 2019 I did not. I relearned them in removing all existing links.

Pabtastic Posted March 11, 2019 Author Posted March 11, 2019 OK - i am game to trying it. I am going to try one device first - most are the 2477D light switches. I have never done that before but did just look up - seems simple. Update - i did a light switch and it cannot be seen by the ISY anymore. Rather then delete out of the program i re-linked it. Tested program and BAM - it works. Didn't even know you could or should factory reset the individual sensors. I would think i should be safe just resetting the 10 or so that i use to trigger programs and keep in the back of my mind this issue if i run into a similar issue.... (i have about 110 devices at my house). I am going to run around and do that now - ill report back one way or another. Thanks so much for the quick help to both of you!

It is usually easier than that. You factory reset the device and then in the admin console right click on the device and select "restore". ISY will write back all the links to the device. ISY is your friend here! BTW: Welcome to the UDI forums!!! Worth every penny!
