Eug Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 I'm running firmware version 2.7.0 on my ISY-99. I have it configured to set the time from us.pool.ntp.org once ever hour. I had just noticed that the time on the box was ahead by about three minutes. I checked the event viewer and there were lots of "setting" time entires in there, without any sort of failure indications. I tried clicking the "synchronize now" button on the configuration page, and suddenly the time is correct. (And that one appeared in the event viewer also, indistinguishable from the other ones that didn't really appear to set the time)
oberkc Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 That sounds like the same problem I had, which was corrected in a later version (2.7.4, I think). I suggest updating your software.
Michel Kohanim Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Hi Eug, Can you check the log and let me know if you see any -6000x ? With kind regards, Michel
Eug Posted July 1, 2009 Author Posted July 1, 2009 Michael, When you say "check the log", are you referring to Tools->Log from the main menu? Because I've never been able to get that to do anything. When I click on "Log", the menu closes and nothing else ever happens.
Michel Kohanim Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Hi Eug, Yes, that's what I mean. Two questions: 1. What ISY firmware version are you on? You should be given an option to view in Excel or as text only 2. What platform is your computer? With kind regards, Michel Michael, When you say "check the log", are you referring to Tools->Log from the main menu? Because I've never been able to get that to do anything. Eug Posted July 2, 2009 Author Posted July 2, 2009 Hi Michel, The firmware is 2.7.0. I've now tried this from both a 64-bit Vista system and a 32-bit XP system with the same result. Michel Kohanim Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Hi Eug, This is extremely odd. You should be given the option of viewing the logs either in Excel or text file. Would you be kind enough to contact our tech support so that we can login remotely and see what's going on? With kind regards, Michel Hi Michel, The firmware is 2.7.0.
