BigMoose Posted August 25, 2019 Share Posted August 25, 2019 Is it possible for the ISY to detect if there is an internet connection and if there is not one to run a program to turn off/on an Insteon module connected to the router/modem. Appreciate anyones help help with this. About every three months or so my router/modem disconnects from the internet and I have to power cycle it to get the connection back. Works fine when home but not great if out of town. Link to comment
jec6613 Posted August 25, 2019 Share Posted August 25, 2019 I would use the Polyglot Ping module and have it ping my ISP's gateway. This means it won't get an erroneous reboot if the ISP has peering issues. Link to comment
