smarthome_newbie Posted August 26, 2019 Author Posted August 26, 2019 Gotcha. Is there any advantage to using the Insteon garage controller instead of Myq. I actually have to wait for Polisy to come out. I am able to use Polyglot cloud for now and that node is not available there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk You can get a Raspberry Pi and install Polyglot on that to run local. That's how most do it today. I don't have MyQ so I don't know anything about that opener. I had a Z-Wave Linear/GoControl/Nortek opener and it worked well. I switched over to the IOLinc for testing and I like them so far. They work as intended AFTER you replace the contact sensor that comes in the "kit" from SmartHome with a proper Normally Closed sensor. Otherwise the status is all backwards
