Can someone explain the following:

1.  What is the "heartbeat"

2. Why does it take a long time for the wet signal to go away when the sensor is dry

3. Is there an easy way to program the sensor so that when wet, it will send me a notification?

The LD sends an On signal on the heartbeat channel every 24 hours to tell ISY it is still alive with a decent battery.

 

This may be an alternating on and then off with some models.

 

To detect the wet signal just write an isy program like this...

 

If

Leakdetector.wet is switched on

Then

Send notification to you

Else

----

 

After sensing wet the LD needs to be reset by tapping its button.
