BillB Posted January 23, 2020 Posted January 23, 2020 I've got a couple of 2477D switches that even after factory resetting several times (and also restoring from ISY) continue to beep on press even though its supposed to be disabled by default and I have deselected that option in ISY. Also, the switches beep with a tap off, they don't turn off the load. They only turn off the load with another tap on! Like the older X-10 style paddles. Anyone see this behavior or have any ideas? Otherwise they seem to be working fine, and respond remote commands just fine.
larryllix Posted January 23, 2020 Posted January 23, 2020 Weird! What are the manufacturing dates and version numbers on the units? These are both on a paper sticker on the side or back somewhere. What process are you using to factory reset them?
BillB Posted January 23, 2020 Author Posted January 23, 2020 I haven't yet pulled them out of the boxes to check for the date/version, because If I go that far, I'm just going to swap them out with new ones. (One is in a four gang box!) I purchased them in May of 2013 from SmartHome and they've been working flawlessly to this point. For reset, I am air-gapping then pushing set until beep stops. I also have a third from the same batch that also just beeps on tap, that I can't clear. It does not exhibit the tap on for off issue though so I've learned to live with it.
lilyoyo1 Posted January 23, 2020 Posted January 23, 2020 After you factory reset them (prior to restoring with the ISY)do they work properly

Are your letting the air-gap go so they are powered up, before pressing the button in?

It seems the real problem is that I am going insane. After trying what I thought was the same thing I had done previously a few times, they all seem to have reset properly. I noticed that when I did a Restore Device, that was the cause of the corruption. Instead, I deleted and re-added to ISY (which I had also done before) and they all work fine now... Sorry for the trouble.
