Factory resetting Z-wave lock

Featured Replies

I need to factory reset an August zwave lock that I have been using for some time and have included in a number of programs.

Is there a recommend or possible processes for removing and re-linking the device that will not affect the device naming and program inclusion?

No. Once you factory reset the key that ties it to the isy will be broken so it will need to be re-added.

Once re-added, the isy will issue a new number etc. to it. While I've never tried with zwave, you may be able to do a swap with the old one as long as it hasn't been deleted from the ISY

Couldn't get it to replace the lock, but thanks for the idea.
