August 17, 200916 yr I just finished helping an installer with some signal issues. He told me that some time back he had called Smarthome to purchase a couple 2406H hardwired phased couplers, and the rep had steered him towards more access points instead--the rep had said that Smarthome was going to discontinue the 2406H. Steve, could you comment on this?
September 1, 200916 yr Any news on this? We just installed a couple access points because we ordered them by accident, they seem to be working fine now but was thinking about going wired later down the road if an issue arises. Maybe I should just order some now in case they do discontinue them.
September 1, 200916 yr Do you know if your New Access Points are the newly revised ones? I understand they now have a AC pass through Outlet on the front and a Blue LED
September 1, 200916 yr Not sure about the Access Point but they don't have a pass through outlet or Blue LED. My Access points have green LED and we received them about 2 weeks ago. Now my PLM has a pass through outlet and blue LED.
September 1, 200916 yr Author Was hoping that Steve Lee could comment on this. I will mention that I talked to the installer again. He went ahead and put the coupler in each of two panels, and was very pleased with the results, which he said were much better than with AccessPoints.
