toddhutch Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 Has anyone else noticed this, I'm not sure it's a feature or a bug. I have a bunch of Insteon switches and a few of the locations have 6 switches. Almost all of them are the 2477D v.45 When I click multiple at the same time, close to the same time I see the LED indicate turning off, or on depending on if I'm turning it off or on. Then the red LED on the switch will blink for a couple of second and go out. Is this normal? Here is the log from the ISY- d 02/05/2020 11:34:08 AM : [INST-SRX ] 02 50 4F.7B.86 34.E6.20 4F 11 01 LTONRR (01) Wed 02/05/2020 11:34:08 AM : [Std-Cleanup ] 4F.7B.86-->ISY/PLM Group=1, Max Hops=3, Hops Left=3 Wed 02/05/2020 11:34:08 AM : [D2D EVENT ] Event [4F 7B 86 1] [DON] [0] uom=0 prec=-1 Wed 02/05/2020 11:34:08 AM : [ 4F 7B 86 1] DON 0 Wed 02/05/2020 11:34:08 AM : [D2D EVENT ] Event [4F 7B 86 1] [ST] [255] uom=100 prec=0 Wed 02/05/2020 11:34:08 AM : [ 4F 7B 86 1] ST 255 (uom=100 prec=0) Wed 02/05/2020 11:34:08 AM : [D2D EVENT ] Event [4F C1 A3 1] [ST] [255] uom=100 prec=0 Wed 02/05/2020 11:34:08 AM : [ 4F C1 A3 1] ST 255 (uom=100 prec=0) Wed 02/05/2020 11:34:10 AM : [INST-SRX ] 02 50 4F.7B.86 11.02.01 C3 06 01 (01) Wed 02/05/2020 11:34:10 AM : [Std-Group ] 4F.7B.86-->11.02.01, Max Hops=3, Hops Left=0 Wed 02/05/2020 11:34:10 AM : [INST-INFO ] Previous message ignored. lilyoyo1 Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 Most likely both are trying to send and receive messages from linked devices causing a collision somewhere so a responders message isn't getting back to them
Teken Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 A few things to consider as these can be a signs: - Load: The bulb in use (CFL, LED, Florescent) may be absorbing / injecting noise on the line - Hardware: One of the first of many signs of a failing switch are buzzing, flicker, or failure to turn on-off a load or react on a timely fashion. - Programming: Another sign of a failing switch is it takes longer or simply won't accept new changes in the EEPROM.
