trevorst Posted March 4, 2020 Posted March 4, 2020 Does anyone know if the Smsrthings Multi sensor will work with the ISY Zwave without using a smarthings hub. https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-SmartThings-Multipurpose-Sensor-GP-U999SJVLAAA/dp/B07F956F3B/ref=sr_1_2?crid=3TO5F1HT1EE0&keywords=smartthings+multipurpose+sensor&qid=1583349061&s=hi&sprefix=smarthings+mul%2Ctools%2C238&sr=1-2

SmartThings sensors are ZigBee not Z-Wave.
larryllix Posted March 4, 2020 Posted March 4, 2020 No it won't. SmartThings sensors are ZigBee not Z-Wave. There ya' go. Find a zigbee dongle for polisy usb or Ethernet and write a node server that can adopt all those estranged zigbee devices and expand Polisy into outer space. Remember You were elected first! trevorst Posted March 4, 2020 Author Posted March 4, 2020 If I could I would.... I am in my 70s now the last language I Programmed in was C +, most was in Fortran. I do fine with figuring out jason and certain api’s for network resources but that is my limit today? I do have Polisy but need to rely on others to do the development of nodes. Thanks for the reply though Larry.
