ISY994i - Could not open config file to read

One of my insteon switches went on fritz, so I decided to replace a device.   While adding it to device scenes, i continue to get the following error "could not open config file to read".    I'm working in the Administrative Console.  I'm baffled.   ISY has been reliable.

Did you add the new switch in the ISY994i and then use the replace with function to use the new switch where the older failed one was?

The new switch was a relay and the old one was a dimmer, so the option was not available.

Thanks for the clarification on not being the same or similar.  I ran into this when I tried the new Dual Band On/Off modules for the older 2456S3 ApplianceLincs.

To be clear the bad device has been removed from the ISY Series Controller? Or did you simply (physically) pull it out? [emoji848]
