mcisar Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 Does anyone know if it's possible to trigger an action on the ISY when a Yale Z-Wave lock is unlocked by a particular user/usercode? Essentially the plan would be for the ISY to send a notification specifically when a door is unlocked by the cleaning person or the gardener... but not when the door is unlocked by one of the family? Cheers, Mike
Mecheng70 Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 Yes it is doable. I have this setup when certain codes are entered. You have to know which coder is which "user #". I use the comments of the program to document. And Google keep. I found that I needed to add both the user number and that the door was unlocked by keypad. See image.
mcisar Posted March 26, 2020 Author Posted March 26, 2020 Would this be something potentially limited by the lock model or maybe the ISY firmware support of the lock (YRD256, ISY FW 5.0.16C)? When trying to write the program I can get the user number bit for the if no problem... but I don't seem to have any way to get the "switched alarm unlocked by keypad" part. The only thing remotely close I have in the pulldowns is "and control Front-Lock is alarm"
Mecheng70 Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 Is there a little arrow below Alarm? What happens if you click it?
mcisar Posted March 26, 2020 Author Posted March 26, 2020 Thought maybe I'd missed it but nope, no little arrow here. Just looking at your screenshot, are you on a Mac? PC here... wonder if something's not happy Java-wise.
Mecheng70 Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 Yes I am on a MAC. Strange. Are there any other options than alarm?
mcisar Posted March 26, 2020 Author Posted March 26, 2020 Nope alarm was the only thing in the pulldown. *BUT* closed the admin console and launched it from the ISY web interface instead of directly from my desktop shortcut and bingo now I have all of the options you show. Stranger part is that now if I close and launch from the desktop shortcut it works too. Definitely must have had something to do with the java cache. I would have figured this out ages ago if those options were all there before LOL!!! Now I wonder what else I may have been banging my head on the wall about needlessly. Thanks for all of your help!
