Alexis Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Hi Everyone, I'm new on this forum and only have little experience with ISY. That being said, I managed to link all devices in my house and set up a few programs. I also connected my device to the ISY web portal, and then from one day to the next I notice that I cannot make any changes to the Admin console anymore. As soon as I connect, a few seconds go by and I get a pop up error "Socket Open Failed java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused". I get thrown out and have to open a new session again. I thought that it might be an issue with ISY so I restored it to factory settings. No change. I also noticed that the LED on the ISY seem to flicker about normally, however the power light never turns on. Not sure if that has anything to do with the problem. I tried switching the power plug to 9V and 19V as I read on other topics that it might be an issue, but it doesn't seem to change any thing here. I use a Macbook Pro. Thanks in advance for your help!
Brian H Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 (edited) The power On LED is driven directly from the power supply. If some of the other functions seem to act and work correctly. You may have a power LED hardware issue. I would contact UDI and start a Trouble Ticket. https://www.universal-devices.com/contact-us Where there any OS or Java updates done, that may have changed things? Edited April 4, 2020 by Brian H
Alexis Posted April 4, 2020 Author Posted April 4, 2020 Thank you for your response Brian. There was no OS or Java update. I am not worried about the hardware issue... The matter is that I cannot connect for more than a few seconds without being thrown out of the ISYwith the error message that I described... Would you advise that I still contact UDI or post somewhere else, in case this Q&A part of the forum is not the appropriate one?
Brian H Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 (edited) I would still contact UDI. They have the greatest support I have seen in a long time. They maybe able to diagnose the issue remotely or give you a answer here. Do you know what ISY994i firmware you are using and if the UI matches the firmware revision? Are you using the ISY Finder? You may also want to see what they have in the UDI Wiki. I am sure issues like yours have some answers there also. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page I have seen some information of adding the ISY994i to a Java exceptions page but don't have any exact information. Edited April 4, 2020 by Brian H Add information.
Brian H Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Found these. Not sure if any of it would be of help. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#MAC_OSX https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#Java_applications_are_blocked_by_your_security_settings
Mustang65 Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 (edited) Is there a possibility that the power supply may have gone bad? ****** Sorry, missed the part where you changed power supplies Edited April 5, 2020 by Mustang65
Alexis Posted April 5, 2020 Author Posted April 5, 2020 Thanks anyway Mustang ? @Brian firmvare is version 5.0.13D and UI is 5.0.13. Not exactly identical, could that be the issue? I am also using the latest ISY Finder. I removed and reinstalled Java, just in case. No change. I will submit a ticket. Thanks a lot for your help!!
Brian H Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Not sure on the suffix difference on the UI. The latest is 5.0.16C and on mine both are listed as 5.0.16C
