bbb2008 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I connected my 2450 to receive an output from a security system dry output contact. It is connected to gnd and sense terminals. I get a instant light on the 2450 when the gnd and sense terminals are made. My problem is I don't get the response in the ISY-991 software until I manually query the device. I was wanting the Isy to trigger a email on a event. Do I need additional programing for the ISY to query more often?
Michel Kohanim Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Hi bbb2008, There is an issue with the IOLinc's Relay where the status is not updated and which needs to be queried. But, for the sensor, this should work. Please do be kind enough to: 1. Ensure that you have our latest firmware (2.7.6) 2. Click on the Sensor node, at the bottom right, click on Set Options and ensure that you are not using momentary modes With kind regards, Michel I connected my 2450 to receive an output from a security system dry output contact. Brian H Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 I believe also if you want an on signal sent when the sensor is grounded. You have to link it with the sensor grounded. If you link it when not grounded. You get an on when open and off when closed.
bbb2008 Posted September 26, 2009 Author Posted September 26, 2009 my ver is 2.7.0 How can I obtain the 2.7.6 ver?

bbb2008 Posted September 26, 2009 Author Posted September 26, 2009 I updated the firmware and cleared java cache. Still did not respond. I then removed the 2450 and then reinstalled. The scene now responds very quickly when the sensor changes state. Thanks for the help.
Brian H Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Glad to hear it is now doing what you wanted. I believe I have seen reports that in some cases the motion sensor had to be removed and then added again.
