Papa C Posted July 10, 2020 Posted July 10, 2020 Is anybody else having issues with Aeon's Multisensor 6 recent purchases? I bought two of them and already replaced one and the replacement is even worse. Both of the bad ones had issues connecting. After several attempts eventually connected and seemed to be working although I cannot calibrate the temp or the humidity. I'm TRYING to install in a small bathroom to turn on lights when entering and off when exiting should be simple enough. One problem I'm having with all three is they don't seem to activate on motion fast enough. I've been moving this around the room trying to find the spot to mount it in it's recessor. I had it one foot closer to the door frame but as you walked across the entry way about 8' from the sensor it would turn the light on. So I moved it a foot more into the room. But..... You can actually walk into the room and be UNDER the sensor before the green light would come on. The lights turn on a beat later as the green light shuts off. It is my understanding that the led lights when motion is detected at which point it transmits that to the ISY so I don't feel it's a transmission problem, it's internal to the sensor. You can actually walk up to it, stop, stand, and wait a beat and the led will light. So sent one back for warranty (after several back and forths with an Aeon engineer) and got the replacement yesterday. After several attempts got it on the network as well. While I'm testing these I have changed the settings to match the motion troubleshooting settings in their online manual changing parameters for 3, 4, and 5. This morning I walk into the bathroom and the lights don't come on. Looking at the sensor the green led is on solid. It didn't flash, it's just ON.... So after a couple minutes I unplug it, wait a minute and plug back in. Rather than waiting I just manually turned the light on and got in the shower. A couple minutes later the lights go off (timers are set short while I test for location) as expected. But, a couple minutes later they come on. Looking at the sensor the led is on solid white. Watching it, after a couple minutes it turns to a solid green and a couple minutes later it turns to a solid red. It stayed red until I got out of the shower and just unplugged it. Now, a few years ago I went though close to a dozen fanlincs due to a bunch of faulty parts in a bad batch before finally getting good ones. I'm wondering if I'm having an issue like that here? I'd think if they were junk I'd be hearing a lot of bad press. The first two of these (purchased on Amazon from Aeon Home) were in grey boxes. This replacement was in a bright blue box. I'm also wondering which is older and newer stock? Thoughts? Ideas?
